Turn Signal WAS Too Loud

My signal was way too loud.

The blinker was mounted to the metal part of the dash and it seemed like the whole dash was clicking.

I zip-tied it to the wiring harness it is connected to.

Much better now.

Thanks for that tip, James.

I've only had my truck for two days now and that turn signal clicker is my least favorite thing. Actually, it's a tie between that and the reflection of my dash in the windshield. If anyone has a solution for this, I'm all ears.

I'm knocking around the idea of removing the windshield and going with a full face helmet instead.

But then rainwater becomes an issue.

OK, it's not that bad, but it is a little distracting. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, that reflection was the FIRST thing I noticed about 500 feet out of the dealer's lot. It did bug me for a couple of weeks, but now I've gotten used to it. Give it some time, pretty soon you won't really notice it.

As for a fix, I've thought about a darker dash cover. But mostly I don't like those things. If I can live with it as is, that is the way to go.

I almost always get a dash cover for this very reason.

The problem with the 04 is the dash is pretty intricate and then there's that rubberized tray (I think I'd opt to just cover the tray).

I'm going to ask a local shop to order one so I can see what it looks like before buying, I'm pretty sure they'll do that for me since I spent over $2k on a shell

I'll take pics but it may be a while.

How hard was that to do? Do you just have to crawl under the dash and it is there or is there more involved, such as taking the dash apart? I hate listening to the turn signal, I wish they would make silent.

Not hard at all once you are looking up into the dash.

It is hooked to the metal dash frame at the bottom of the dash, center of driver area.

It is a blue box 1x1x1. Turn your signal on while looking.

My complaint about reflection is the headlight/foglight indicators on the switch show in my side mirror. Probably my biggest annoyance.
