HID Lighting

Hey all, just curious if anyone has seen a High Intensity Discharge retrofit headlight kit for the '04. I had one in my '01 and really got used to it. It appears that Ford is now using a 9008 headlight bulb which will slow things up....

Navigator HIDS appear to be the same fixture. I parked side by side and compared.

Sylvania, at the moment, has no plans to create a Xenarc system for the 04.

When there are millions of 04's I bet they change their mind about that. We'll see.

I had a chance to look at a Navigator housing along side a F150, they look similar but are very different. Even the hard mounts are different. They would not fit the F150 body lines either. I guess the wait goes on......

Thanks Light. I just did a quick look with the hoods down (navi was locked up). Thanks for the check-out.
Too bad we can't find an option for this. Maybe in a few months.

Not Hid but Projector Headlights on Ebay

These are supposedly able to fit the 2004 Ford F-150 Pickup & 2003-2004 Expedition.

Yes I have seen those but not sure about quality and brightness.

I'll have to wait to see them in person.

Not sure about the look of these projectors. It may grow on me?

You already have projector style heads though... why replace them with something like that? I mean, I understand the change of look but, you'll almost certainly loose quality.

Thanks for the replies on this. I have been speaking to the people at www.hidkits.com about when/if they intend on offering a plug and play kit for '04 trucks. They were unaware that they are using a new style bulb (9008?)
I had their kit in my '99 lightning then moved it to my '01. I was hoping to just move it right into my '04. They put out a quality kit while maintaining the stock look. Oh well, the wait goes on!! If anyone sees a true HID retro kit for the stock headlight housings, please post! Once you have had HID, you don't want to go back-

My company sells HID kits, and we've been searching like mad for the 9008 bulbs, but no one has them yet. We made some good contacts out in SEMA, and I should have some information soon. If anyone is interested, I'll post info as soon as I have it.

Cool

Hmmm, these lights look pretty good as a housing replacement, kind of similar to the ones on e-bay. I guess I would be concerned about quality and durability. Thanks for the link!

You're definately right there! I wouldn't sell my Xenarcs for what I paid for them!
