Cool

Well d2alio, it is not just the United States where the F-150 pickup is the best selling.

37 years in Canada (Best Selling Pickup) Canada's Best Selling Truck

and like stated before ... 26 years in the United States ... United States Best Selling Truck and they have a good review of the '04 as well.

So basically, if Ford sells 800,000 units / per for all of these years which out sold the closest competitior by a landslide then I guess there is just a lot of well trained people in this world. And I for one have joined that group. I have owned two vehicles in my driving lifetime and they have been both F-150's. The first was an '87 which I bought with 120,000 kms on it and sold it with 305,000 kms (running strong). Current truck is as signature states and I bought it with 94,000 kms and will be selling it with well over 300,000 kms if I even sell it.

Awards, the F-150 and it's engine (5.4L v-8 have won numerous awards over the years including Best Engine and Truck of the Year from MotorTrend.

Haven't heard of any recall either for the '04 F150's, please elaborate on this.

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'

Also over the years time has told that Ford's just aren't that great for the long haul as well
What are you basing that staement on? Hop on over to the "Pre-97" forum and check out how realiable the old Ford's really are. I think it is almost universally recognized the old 300 I6 was a bullit proof work machine. I only have 150,000 on my '86 F-150 with the 300, however, I do have over 300,000 on my '88 with a 302. Suggesting that "Ford's aren't that great for the long haul" really has no merit, unless you meant something else and I misinterpreted.

I dont think the Titan will get it. I will have only been sold for a short time so its really unfair to name it as "best" if its just released.

Of course, as mentioned here and there, ad dollars with the publisher (that includes sister titles) also determines this staus.

ie... the year that the Licoln LS won... it was widely acknowledged as purchasing the award.
