I washed my red '04 FX4 screw this past Saturday and was cruising. I had several people stare at the truck until I was out of sight. One guy driving a '02 screw 2wd was looking back at me for so long I thought he would wreck. I also had two guys pass me and one said to the other, "What the f**k is that?" Are you guys and gals noticing this?

 

All the time...especially from Dodge and Chevy truckers. A few almost had accidents by twisting their necks so far around to look. I'm still getting the usual parking lot WOW..so that's the new F150. But, I'm sure it's coming to an end, when I start seeing the F150's all over..So in the mean time I'm enjoying the attention.

 

Not a day goes by that I can look out my office window and see someone checking out my 04 STX in the parking lot.

And I can tell the Dodge owners are upset that they don't have the good looking truck anymore. I got the knod from a Hemi owner the other day.

 

Had a guy the other day drive by me in a parking lot & get out & ask Q's & looked the truck up & down.

Said he was jealous when he was leaving.

 

Dont you love it. The Dodge guys and the Chevy guys are too damn proud to admin they want one, but you can tell by the way they look at the new F-150 they wish they had one.

 

I have had a lot of Ford 02 and 03 truck owners speed up and down just to get a good look at my truck!! What a feeling, diving some thing every body wants. Ford dealers better get ready for a lot of older model trucks on their used lots.

I went into Auto Zone on Saturday to buy some accessories. Both guys working asked if they could look inside the truck and under the hood. I gave them to grand tour as if I was a Ford Salesman. One WAS a proud Dodge owner and one WAS a proud Chevy. They both are in the market for a new truck and now they both want the '04 trucks and have always owned the competitors. They said that Ford is clearly way ahead of Dodge and Chevy.

 

Yeah, I get a lot of lookers too! Took a golf trip last weekend and I was amazed at how many people kept pulling up beside me and slowing down to look my 04 Screw over. Just before I turned into the golf course I was going to play, a guy pulled in behind me and followed me into the parking lot . He got out and , very politely asked if he could get a better look at the inside. It is a great feeling to know we recognized it long before anyone else!!
I agree, Ford is going to sell a lot of these trucks!!!

Hey Dupuis, Brusly is in West Baton Rouge Parish just south of the new bridge going towards Plaquemine. What type of truck do you have?

 

2004 4x2 Screw Lariat, Black/Arizona Beige, Leather. just turned 1,000 miles. No mods yet. I will be getting Line-X shortly. I plan on getting after market floor mats, I don't have audiophile so I will be upgrading the stock speakers and adding a sub. I am thinking of a bug sheild and window air deflectors, but not to sure if it will look good on black. The truck looks so classy, not sure if it will take away from that look. I will also be ordering more over head bins from Ford. (Metro Pac) It has been great, I got one the first 12 in the Lafayette area, including all the surrounding towns, so I have been getting a lot of attention. Starting to see a lot more of them now. What kind did you get?

 

Dupuis, I got the Red FX4 screw. My favorite option so far is the moonroof and the captains chairs. I didn't get the audiophile either and I wish I did. Keep me posted what you do with the radio system, cause I want to upgrade mine also. I have a lot of buddies in Lafayette but I have not been there lately. That is a fun town. My truck has 456 miles on now. I got it Oct 21, but I have a company vehicle, so I don't drive it everyday. Keep in touch
