Official Bigger Tire thread.
I presently have Michelin Pilots 275/65HR18 on my 4x4 Lariat which are 11 inches wide and 32.1 inches tall. I am considering 305 60 18 Toyo Proxies ST 700 which are 12.0 wide (the dealer says 12.5 inches wide and the website said 12.0 inches) and 32.1 inches tall. I am concerned about the wider tires fitting the stock wheels and whether they will rub on the wheel well.

So I got the Proxes 305 60 18 and they are great. The truck is nailed to the road, no significant noise increase, and much smoother ride. The only thing left is a new all black nerf bar which Ford promised me the day I bought it.

The Proxes are 12.5 wide and the Michelin's were 11 wide. NO change in wheels. There was about a 3/4 inch clearance on the the front wheel on the inside and I am watching it closely. but the tires (which are on the OEM wheels) do not stick out either in the front or the back.
