Now when building a truck, the picture of the truck changes color according to the color you select for it. Kind of neat.

You're right. That's new as well.
How long before you get your Lariat, BrewMaster?

At first I thought you maybe worked at a beer plant. I was gonna be your best friend if that was the case. We could hang out and look at eachother's trucks.

LOL! no really, I laughed out loud when I read your post T.O.D. I do not work at a beer factory, but I LOVE beer though. i don't get drunk, but there ain't much better than a good beer. I am a polymer chemist (R&D Manager at a rubber seals company). However, the new Yardhouse will be opening in Pasadena (Paseo Colorado shopping center) on Nov. 17th. We can meet there or at California Brewing Company in Alhambra and have beers and admire each others trucks. We'd have to drag wingn8ive up from OC for that one too. That would be sweet, just park all 3 (or more?!) trucks in a row. Hopefully I will be receiving my truck around Nov 17th or so. I am expecting it before Thanksgiving, but as we've seen, you never know with Ford special orders.

Did you order yet T.O.D.? if so, when is it coming?

I am aware of the Yardhouse opening. That will be nice, even though the Paseo Colorado sucks, IMHO. I'll have to check out that place in Alhambra, too. I've never heard of it, but I like new places with old faces. (Beer being the old face.)

I unfortunately won't be doing any ordering until May of next year, so the current T.O.D, my '97 Splash, will have to suffice til I order the FX4 Screw. It's gonna be a long 8 months.

Yeah but the pictures pretty much suck. And they don't add the second color when you select two tone. I think they could've done much better.

A few questions for the board regarding the rear seat controls:

I didn't order the DVD System with the truck because it was slated for late availability (Nov-Dec).

When I buy it later on down the road, will the rear seat controls come with it?

Do they replace the console?

Is there anything special that will need to be done?

What the dealio?

I hope I didn't screw (no pun intended) myself when I didn't order w/ the vehicle.

edit: I guess the rear seat controls wouldn't matter too much, since the wireless headphones have volume on 'em and whatnot... I'd just like the whole system to tie into the radio and have the option to listen through the radio OR the headsets.... etc., etc.

i am color blind so that small *** truck in the upper left hand corner does me no good. the Toreador Red, Black, and Aspen Green all look pretty much the same to me. I need a bigger pic to give a damn. The pic for the 03 F-150 builds is better because it is a side view, not a weird *** top view. I mean, when am I going to see a top view of my truck except when I am on my roof hanging Christmas lights? get a clue Ford marketing people...

Anyone have pics of where they put the controls for this? I replaced the HU in mine and looking to add inputs myself. Curious where Ford is putting them.

Good to know there are fellow chemists on the board. I'm at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville working on my Ph.D. I'm going the organic route though, as I think all you polymer guys just mix a bunch of stuff together, get some goo, and think it's the best thing ever!

On a side note Brew, from the time you got out of school, how long did it take to find a job? Any good hints for looking for a job?

the Canadian Ford site has been doing this for years. Also shows the correct model (Reg, SCab, Screw, box length)
