Tell us what you got/are getting and why!
moose609,
I ordered my truck on 08/01. The build date slated for yesterday did not happen. I had a friend check the VIN on Ford's OASIS system where it will show a exact build date, warranty repairs, etc. and it showed that the VIN was active but yet no build date. It must be anyday considering it was scheduled for build yesterday. I have been told when the vehicle is built it is taking anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks for delivery. I don't know.
An amazing fact...
My good friend just order a '04 F250 FX4 Powerstroke XLT and it took only 4 weeks from order to final delivery!
Screw Lariat 4x4
Audiophile
Capt Chairs
Two Tone
Moonroof
Bed Extender
"P" Tires
3.73 LS
Heated Seats
Manual sliding rear window
No running boards
No reverse aid system

Black or Blue w/ Black Sport Captain Leather FX4 (haven't decided on the two-tone paint yet). Main reason I'm opting for the FX4 is that while the XL, STX and XLT are nice, I NEED leather. I didn't opt for the Lariat because I think the interior is too "professional" looking and I want something more sporty, so my choices were between the STX and the FX4 and since the STX wasn't offered with a leather upgrade, it only made more since to go for the more sporty FX4.
Why do I need leather? Mainly because I do road trips all the time and for the amount that I drive having cloth just isn't an option. Plus, cloth is a pain in the *** to clean, so it only makes more sense to go all the way.
Like the saying goes, "you go big or you go home". I'm going BIG

Just took delivery of an fx4 blazing yellow ,black leather interior, with flareside and all the options available accept the gas tank which is 27 gallons. The most interesting part of this style is the bed which is made up of a composite material.Anyone who ordered this style will not be disapointed, lot of postive comentsand looks
Just ordered mine out today.
4x4Lariat, Supcab, Drk Toreador Red Met, tan 40/20/40 Seats, Moonrf, PwrSlider, Htd Seats, Audiophile, Ltd Slip. Chr tube step.
Did the Lariat because I dislike the cloth int of the others, Like the nickel grill, like the body color wheel flare, like the audiophile (love that bass), liker chrome bumpers (I like body color on new trucks, but it looks old fast)
Don't like the floor console. Looks ok, but takes too much space.
My biggest complaint is after committing 33k for a truck, I'm shopping for new wheels. I don't understand the any wheel you want as long as its an ugly five spoke. None of the rims offered do much for me, and the Lariat has no choice. Every Dodge I see has super sharp rims, and even Chevy's are ok.
I always liked the Toreador Red, but thoght it looked a little orangeish. The new dark red looks very rich. Went with the monochrome for the clean look.
Now the trick is not going crazy during the 6 to 8 week wait.

Fully loaded SCrew Lariat, Arizona Beige, 4x4.
Every single option you can get. Obviously opted for the power rear window rather than rear defroster, and again obviously opted for the overhead rail system rather than a leaky moonroof.
The only option I'm getting the cheaper version of is the black platform running boards rather than the bright tubular. I think they take your eye and travel it down towards the bottom of the truck, rather than looking at the beauty of the truck as a whole. Plus chrome likes to get little rust spots on it, so who wants more of it? (Any way to stop that, by the way? Chrome cleaning products/protectants/etc...?)
Ordered in August, Build date of 9/15/03. Cancelled order 9/10/03. Want to wait until Spring, I'm not going to get another new year vehicle and drive it off into crappy weather. I want maximum enjoyment out of my new toy before bad weather hits.

Dark Shadow Grey Supercrew FX4: Center console shifter, 18" wheels, audiophile, heated mirrors, running boards, and the rest.
Ultimate Rig to take the family around town as well as your buddies to fishing and hunting adventures. I wanted something that could carry my buddies in comfort. At 225lbs to 275 lbs, these are not small fellas. 4 Full doors the only way to go. Besides, I have not caught a fish longer then 5 1/2 feet that I need to stick in the bed.
