Just picked up my Lariat!

I just picked up my 2002 F150 supercab lariat! Black with beige two tone, moonroof, tan interior, flow through console, audiophile, trailor tow, Goodyears, power rear slider, no running boards. I ordered it in early june and got it two days ago from Koons College park ford in Maryland. They said it was the first lariat they have received. I'll post some pics in a couple of days on this thread and if anyone has any questions about the lariat I will try to answer them. The truck (and the FX4 that I saw in a showroom) are better than any of the pictures could lead you to believe. I have a couple gripes about a several very minor details but I am unreasonably picky about things. The ride, steering, and interior noise are far better than any truck I have ever been in. The bed is nice and deep and makes the truck look huge.

I bought it on X plan and final price came to just over $35K. Ford has no incentives or rebates so look for financing elseware! I will be refinancing as soon as possible. The truck exceeded all most all of my expectations and I can't what to hear about everyone elses trucks!

Congrats on your "2002"? I am assuming in your excitement of getting a new 2004 you mistakenly typed 2002.....

As you drive it for a while, please post your thoughts both positive and negative.

How is the rear seat room, I've seen a few conflicting reviews. I have a 12 and 5 year old that will be back there on occasion. Thanks and congrats.

Rear SC Room

I've had the opportunity to sit in the back of the 04 and unless you've got long legged boys or you drive with your seat all the way back I believe you will be satisfied with the SC.

I did mean 2004, it was 5 in the morning and I was at work. The back seat legroom is fine for kids and tight for adults. The 35K was with tax, tags and all that BS. taxes alone were almost 2 grand. Hope this helps.

Ford announced...

On Sale September 4, 2003.

I know the local dealers here (Plano, TX) would not sell the 2001 SuperCrew until the release date. Are you guys sure you're "taking delivery" or that your vehicle is on premise at the dealership?

I took delivery of mine last friday and have put almost 200 miles on it so far, but it is a supercab not a supercrew.

Bighersh,
All of the F-150's in NJ are able to be taken for delivery. They are actually piling up. One dealer said he was expecting them to move as soon as they came off the truck, but they have sat there since Wednesday already.

Bigsherm, what rate did Ford Credit give you?.. and I would assume you have an excellent credit rating.

I was approved for 4.49% (60 mos.) through People First / Capital One Auto Finance. Is that better than Ford?

Bigsherm77:

Just wondering, any electrical problems? My Lariat's ABS is acting up & the cruise control is AWOL.

Wingn8ive:

The Dealer matched my credit union rate of 4.25% through Bank America. I think the Dealers can deal on the rates from a variety of sources, not just FoMoCredit.

I have good credit, but was given 9% from ford. That is why I will be refinancing through a gredit union this week. I have not had any problems yet at all. I have used everything including the cruise control and everything works perfectly! Also, I just created my photo gallery and will post the link when I find out how to do it, if you would like to see it now, go to galleries, view users galleries, and search for bigsherm77. If there are some pics that are not on there that you would like to see, let me know.

How 'bout that Audiophile??? Is there a subwoofer? Does it sound good??

BTW: You've got a beautiful truck!!!

One more question for everybody: Is Ford not offering 4.9% for 5 yrs anymore??? Please say that's not true, cuz I'm screwed if so!
