3 of 'em at Ford of Tulsa

Ford of Tulsa has three 04's at their south location. A solid silver FX4 super cab, black STX reg cab, and a true blue XLT super cab. Sat in the FX4, liked it pretty good, seats were quite comfortable to me. The 5.4 is quiet, just as if not quieter than my parents Merc Grand Marquis. The tailgate assist does make the tailgate seem very light. Unfortunately I didn't stick around very long.

Sorry should have took my camera, but forgot . I'm planning on going over to that deal at the western heritage museum in OKC tomorrow. Hopefully i'll be able to get some pics. Might take a little while to get them up though as I don't yet have a digital cam. Hopefully won't be a huge mob over there. Can't wait

The FX4 was already gone (they said it was sold) at 9:00 am this morning, so I didn't get to look at it. The XLT Supercab looked nice and was actually medium wedgewood blue.

Boy that was quick. It was a nice truck. It might have looked better with the two-tone paint though. It almost looked like true blue, but I didn't take the time to look at the sticker. The salesperson I talked to said they got them in on the 13th I think. Did you get a chance to go over to the museum? They had 3 over there also, at least when I was there. A supercrew lariat solid Arizona Beige, a supercab lariat Black, and a supercrew FX4 Bright Red two-tone. Very nice trucks. Was somewhat busy though. I did happen to take a few pics. Have to get them developed ASAP. Hopefully i'll get a day off sometime early this week and try to get them posted. The beige lariat had the black leather captains chairs, looked pretty good.

Almost forgot, sat in all three, the supercrew's were very comfortable front and back, in the supercab with the front seat in a comfortable driving position, my knees did touch the seat back (i'm about 6'3") but didn't seem to cramp me at all.

With the black leather interior on the Lariat, was the dash also black with the silver highlights and wood grain? No one seems to be able to find a pic of the Lariat w/ black leather interior, and we've been wondering how the dash color changes with black rather than the tan we always see.

And how did the Arizona Beige look? Was it too much? Sometimes a single color on such a large vehicle is just too much. But that color looked sweet in the pics I saw of them posted here in the big lots where they've been stored.

Finally, someone who has seen a Lariat with black interior. Please tell us what the dash looks like. Is there wood on it?

Sorry about the delay on getting back to you guys. The dash was black, if I remember right it did have the silver highlights, almost the same as the FX4 int. pics you see everywhere. And it did have the wood grain trim. My opinion is, I didn't think it looked bad at all. But it just depends on the person too. I did take pics of the inside, I just have to get them developed. I'll try to get them up before the end of the week, just depends on work.

The Arizona Beige didn't look bad at all. If you get on www.canadiandriver.com and go to their first drives page, they tested an 04 Lariat w/ AB paint. They have some pics of it on there. I did take a few pictures of all of them, and will try to get them up as quick as I can.

Thanks for the pictures. That is the first picture of a black Lariat interior I have seen. I think I know why now. I looked at that picture for 5 minutes and could never feel comfortable saying that the wood belongs there. It just looks out of place to me. Although, I have never been a fan of wood in a vehicle. Maybe, I just need to see it in person. Nah... Thanks again for the picture. At least I feel O.K. about ordering the tan interior on my Lariat.

I've seen the tan in person, and it looks better than in the brochure. The silver isn't so shiny and out of place as it looks, more of a grey. But still...

Yet those pics of the black leave me wondering too. Doesn't it look funny on the back door, how they have a little wood section, then sort-of surround it with some of that silver, but not really, then the rest is black? What's up with that?

I ordered black, but now I'm flipping back and forth.

Like he said, the pics aren't great of the black, maybe that's all it is. I hope, if not, I'll need to change my order soon!

No problem. Glad I coud help. It would have been better if Ford would have released photos of it a long time ago. I guess they were afraid people wouldn't like it. The wood trim does look a little different. For black leather the FX4's do look best. Does look better with the carbon fiber trim.
