They're out there... Im in philly, got a call from my dealer... they have 1 Scab on the lot now that Ill go have a look at next week.

 

I drove an 04 XTL Supercab today. Was a nice truck, but I balked when the dealer told me that there were no incentives. The dealer gave me the old "What can we do to sell this truck to you today?" speech, so they are selling them, or at least trying. Maybe I'm not the only one holding out for incentives.

The truck I drove is at the Ford dealer in Meridian Mississippi (South Ford ??).

They have two 04s. The XLT Supercab (Blue) and an FX4 Supercab in Charcoal Grey.

 

I had the pleasure of driving an FX4 and an XLT today at the Nashville dealer introduction and I can tell you it is a FANATASTIC truck! Smooth, quiet, powerful, well-equipped, and SOLID!!! Much more solid than a rock (better than "like a rock").

The Fx4 had the floor shifter, and it may be hard to believe but the whole center console is so high than it doesn't feel like a "floor" shifer. The overhead rack system is outstanding. The power-sliding rear window is a must no matter what it costs.

Best Ford in Milwaukee has 10 trucks on it's lot. they don't own the trucks, so you can look and touch, but can't drive them or buy one.

They'll be there until August 26th.

I looked at three of them, and I like what Ford has done with them. It seems they have been listening to some of the things owners have been saying and designed them into the truck.

I can't think of one thing I did not like.

Hi all, new here. I took my 04 f-150 FX4 home yesterday. 8-18-03. I really like it. I had a 97 lariat and this new truck is much nicer.It almost feels like driving a sports car.

I got a black on black leather supercab with floor shift, leather captain chairs.3.73 limited slip rear. I would have got it last thursday ,but the power went out right in the middle of doing the paperwork. I bought from Jack Demmer Ford in Wayne. They have many more on the lot.I did not order it I just saw it there on my way home from work last wednesday and just walked in thurs. and talked to my salesman about it and he went and asked his manager if it was ok to sell it. It is a supercab 4X4,18 in. wheels

Awesome truck, especially like how you put up pics of it while you were washing it to prove it was really yours!

I imagine you're experiencing what I did when I was one of the first anywhere to have a new '97. Everywhere I went guys would stop me and ask about my truck, gas stations, Dairy Queen, shopping malls, SubWay, didn't matter!

Does it fit in your garage? I've been wondering if it'll fit in the parking decks at the mall...

I dont know if it will fit in the garage yet.As for the parking decks, I am sure it will fit, it is lower than the 97-03 4x4.I saw another 04 on the road today. An XL reg. cab, with a diamond plate work box in the bed.First one other than mine I have seen that has been bought.
