DEARBORN, Mich., July 29, 2003 – The 2004 Ford F-150, the newest model in the best-selling vehicle lineup in America, is leaving Ford’s Norfolk (Va.) Assembly Plant and heading to dealerships.

More than 66,000 dealer orders have been placed for the all-new 2004 F-150, which provides numerous class-exclusive features while delivering best-in-class trailer towing capability, payload capacity, low-end torque, cargo box volume, interior volume and interior quietness. The vehicles will hit dealer showrooms during the next few weeks and can be sold upon receipt. “We are operating from a position of strength with the F-150. For the past five years, we have sold more than 800,000 F-Series pickups a year,” said Steve Lyons, Ford Division president. “The new F-150 will help us maintain and grow our leadership position and set us apart from the competition.”
The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for the entire 2004 F-150 lineup will range from $19,125 to $35,570, plus destination and delivery charges of $795. The comparable price range for today’s 2003 F-150 lineup ranges from $19,125 to $34,135.

Thanks. I just want confirmation that a gooseneck hitch can be installed in the bed of a 2004 SuperCab w/6.5 box. We ordered one on Monday to "fix" the problem of not enough truck with our current F150 (4.6L five speed), and I want somebody in the know to tell me that the boxed frame won't pose a problem with a bed mounted hitch. Where would you suggest I find such information???
BTW, its a Toreador Red Lariat w/blk captains chairs and a moonroof...I can't wait!

Do you think this includes delivering Supercrews? At one time they were holding out Screws with moonroof and two-tone paint. This would exclude mine on both parts. The polished steps were to be added later all along. Thats no big deal. I can have those bolted on any time. I just want to know if I can get the truck.

I talked my salesman that I've bought my last three trucks and ordered my 04 thru and he said that they already shipped them all around the u.s. and there at stock yards and as soon as ford says ok they will go to the dealers so every dealer will have a bunch because there letting them pile up. There is a dodge stock yard near where I live some times you go buy there and there is nothing. then the next month there will be thousands of caravans there and then a month later there all gone so I think this is what there doing with the fords. They must be sending out many of them and they build up all over the united states then they unload them on the dealers so with in a week all the dealers have a few so no dealer gets cheated on not have any.

Based upon you knowledge, how many Screws have been built, how many are stored in KC's lot, how many have been shipped to destinations unknown, and when do you think they are gonna be relesed for shipment?
I have a 'priveleged' relationship with one of central Tx largest volume dealer's. I ordered my Screw in late April (2x4, mono paint, no boards or moonroof), and am told it was built a couple of weeks ago, waiting on QC's release. I was told it would arrive about Aug. 18. Any insight?
