2001 5.4l 2 Valve Engine

I am buying the: Shell Rotella Gas Truck Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5W-20 & the: Motorcraft #FL820S Engine Oil Filter for my rig.

I have put a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil into the Crankcase to run for 100 miles or so, supposed to clean up the inside of the engine a bit and gain a little better gas mileage along with silencing noisy lifters and such inside the engine. This is my first time putting it into the Crankcase, I have put it in my gas tank for many years though with excellent results.

I have only used Shell Rotella in my Ford 7.3l Diesel - I have read great write-ups about Shell Rotella for gas engines as well.

To Anyone who uses the Shell Rotella in their gas engines..... Good Results?

Am I buying the Correct Engine Oil "Filter" for my engine?

(I am double checking... check twice, purchase once)

Yes, that's the best reasonably priced filter. 5W20 is the correct weight oil.

Don't use any additives after you change the oil.
