Transfer Case Removal/ Install

Hello, I am new here. I am the owner of an 2003 F150 Extended cab. The engine in the 5.4, auto trans and manual transfer case. I was pulling some huge shrubs in 4 Lo in reverse and killed my transfer case. It was a slow death not immediate. But anyway, I am in the process of rebuilding a replacement I bought in a scrap yard. Everything inside looked new after opening it up. To be safe I am replacing the bearings, chain and seals. My question is, is the replacement something I could do myself or should I hire someone to do it for me? Im 55 years old so I do have plenty of tools and experience. Its just that I am 55 years old. LOL.

Oh crap sorry. Did not realize. I have seen this video before though. I have no garage, no lift and the torsion bars would be a problem. I guess its off to a garage.

torsion bars are NOT a problem......you can get a tool at advance or autozone to "load them".....nothing to it actually...BUT count how many revs you undo them....write it down...then when you reinstall...you should be pretty close.
