12 valve Cummins swap

Just kinda curious if a 12 valve or even a 24 valve would fit in an 01 supercab f150 xlt that stock had the 5.4 triton in it. Looking for alternative motor swaps as Well

Check out the Youtube vid from Finnegan's Garage and his swap of a 12V Cummins in his old Chevy 1 ton truck...

Tight fit even in that rig! Can't imagine that going into an F150 where the old 5.4 had it's rear 2 cylinders are under the cowl?

Someone did squeeze a Ford V10 in an F150 before, so maybe anything is possible??

But, anything is possible with enough time and money..

Good luck! Mitch

The only reasonable Cummins diesel swap at this time would be a 4BT. The 6 cylinder is just too long.

I think a 7.3 Powerstroke might fit.

Yes, the 6 cyl is long. A 4BT is a better match for the truck. You don't want a huge heavy engine in there... then you need to start fabricating a better suspension. Either way, expect to spend some $$.
