Water comming out of exhaust
Water comming out of exhaust
So my 98 f150 has another problem water or what looks water but smells a little different (it's not flammable I tested it safely), so this liquid dripping out the end of the exhaust it also comes out of a small hole on the bottom of the exaust and it sprays more when you give it gas. What could be the cause of this Should I be concerned???
How could you check for a bad or cracked head gasket or block
If this happens when the engine is warming up, it's just condensation. If the engine is hot and it continues, it can be a problem.

Gasoline is made of molecules containing hydrogen and carbon. When carbon burns, it combines with oxygen and becomes carbon dioxide CO2. When hydrogen burns, it combines with oxygen and becomes water H2O. When the engine is cold this water coming from combustion condenses in the cool exhaust pipes and you see it as water vapor or even liquid water. When the exhaust gets hot, the water from combustion is so hot it comes out as hot water vapor that is invisible.
So, like Bluejay said, if it only does it when the engine is cold, it isn't a problem.
