Wheel/Tire fit for 2002 King Ranch
Hey guys,
Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I've been looking all over and haven't seen a straight answer that will help me with my quandary. I have a 2002 King Ranch Super Crew 4x4 with stock ride height. The truck currently has stock KR wheels and 265/70R17's. I'm getting ready to put new tires on and want to replace the wheels while I'm at it. (Side story - Literally as I was driving off the lot after buying the truck, one of the caliper bolts fell out and the caliper came loose and chewed one of the wheels up pretty good)
I really like the **** Cepek Gunmetal 7's with the color and styling of the truck. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&autoMake =Ford&autoModel=F150+SupCab+4wd+King&autoYear=2002 &autoModClar=&initialPartNumber=1392AMF&i1_Qty=4&w heelMake=****+Cepek&wheelModel=GM7&wheelFinish=Mac hined+w%2FAnthracite+Accent&wheelFinish=Machined+w %2FAnthracite+Accent&showRear=no&packageFlow=false
My question is, without modifying the suspension, will these wheels work well, and if so, with what size tires (I'm leaning towards Terra Grapplers)? I don't want to have to do a ton of plastic trimming, and if I change the ride height more than a couple inches, it won't fit in the garage anymore, which is a deal breaker.
Any advice?
P.S. - apparently my link won't work because the forum doesn't like me saying **** Cepek, so the **** has to be changed out...
