Interior light override switch help!!

I am interested in installing a interior light switch to turn of my interior lights when the doors are open. I found the fuse on the drivers side of the truck that runs the battery saver/ interior lamps. im guessing if I knew which wire went to that fuse I could cut the wire and wire in a switch and be done with it. I am not very electrical savy but seems easy enough. Can anyone tell me what color wire I am looking for and possibly a picture of where its located! I have been searching online for three days to find a picture or instructions with no luck. I appreciate any help.

On my truck the lights light when the doors are open.
Your does not?
Have you used the Roll switch on the dash near the light switch?
Or am I misunderstanding something?
Good luck.

I do a lot of hunting and I dont want my interior lights coming on when I open my doors in the mornings. I know I could pull the fuse but I would rather still be able to use my map lights and things when I want and then have the convenience of wiring in a switch to turn the lights off when needed. My 03 Lariat dimmer doesn't shut the interior lights off like the later model trucks do. If you wheel it all the way up the lights come on. But there is no click all the way down to turn them off. Thats why I am needing to wire in a switch. Hope that makes sense.

In the Haynes manual page 12-27, it shows the Black/Light Blue leads coming out of the distribution box from the Interior Lamp relay powering the main interior lights of interest.
Find that lead color code in the harness and put a switch in series.
Good luck.
