1997 gauges going crazy
my gauges on my truck have been topping off or bottoming out when I start the truck. I was able to turn truck off and restart and they would start to show proper readings.
now the problem is worse. when I start the truck my fuel goes to empty,
the battery goes up past 18 volts, the temp goes all the way up, and the oil pressure shows in the regular range but lower than it usually does. when I turn truck off and turn key to run position without motor running all the gauges are right, no oil pressure, temp at normal position when motor is warm, battery normal and proper level of fuel.
any suggestions?
