probably need actuators that are cheap but they are a PITA to replace! Do they move at all?

It seems unlikely that both door lock actuators would fail at the same time. Likewise, both door switches and the key fob wouldn't likely fail simultaneously. I'd get a wiring diagram and look for something in the control circuit.

I forgot to post back. but when I hit either drivers or passenger side switch lock or unlock I can hear the actuator try to go but only move a little. this happens on both sides either switch. click in the dash but if you hit the button too many times it fades away and stops. I think its the actuators

one part every other part of your power lock / remote / keyless systems have in common is the circut breaker that the power locks use ( instead of a fuse which would burn at "end of travel" of the mechinism)

if the circut breaker is weak it might be tripping with less load than the lock actuators require

if you have power windows try swapping the circut breakers if they're the same -see if the problem moves to your windows

In my old 2000 the actuator on the passenger side quit for a while then it started working again for a short time before it was done. I just lived with it since I didn't use the passenger side door much plus it still unlocked when using the key. Stayed that way the last couple years I had that truck when I traded it in for my 05 back in 05.
