Waste of money. No improvement whatsoever over OEM.

Headers are "no improvement whatsoever" over OEM?

They might not be cost effective compared to the power that is gained, but unless you're stating an OPINION, I just don't see how the above statement can be true....

But as far as the ignition system mods that were listed, I totally agree.

Correct, that's why I only did a partial quote and bolded it. I have no opinion on headers, but I HAVE heard that some types might adversely affect low end torque.

Gotcha. Sorry about that... I totally missed the bolding of the ignition components. Also, about the headers affecting low end torque, I HAVE heard that too. I just can't quite remember in which applications/circumstances it was affected negatively. Wish I could tho... Dag nabbit... LOL!

A lot of people seem to be hung up on squeezing horsepower out their engines. They sometimes don't get the concept that they have a 3 ton truck that needs TORQUE to get it moving.

Without doing a lot of tweaking and tuning, the STOCK intake and exhaust is actually optimized for low end torque.

I enjoy those that feel high gearing (lower ratio numbers), along with larger tires then complain about miles per gallon
