oops I bought a Chevy
I wouldn't give up on it that quickly. You already sunk a bunch of money into it, wait a little while longer. Any $2k truck is gonna be old and have its share of problems. There's a good chance that the next truck you pick up is also gonna have issues, maybe similar ones
Well looks like the typical GM crap already. When i Bought the truck it had the cel on, used my scanner and it needed front o2's (po135,po155)
So i decided to go ahead and buy it.
Saturday I Went and got both Upstream o2's replaced them and the truck was running good, That afternoon cel came on again and it was a po122 (tps sensor) so went and got that.. Installed it and drove fine until sunday afternoon
it started to have a hard time starting after sitting for more than 10 mins.. So i looked around on the internet and decided to replace the Distributor Cap&Rotor and the fuel filter. Did all that and it started running good again check engine light stayed off until this morning, then came back on
So i got pissed off and parked it and got in the f150.. So now its sitting on Cl.

All my GM buddies keeps telling me the check engine light in no big deal, most of theirs have been on for up to 5 years, I just dont like that..I guess im a little **** but i like to know my vehicle is running as perfect as it can.. Guess GM owners doesnt have that same attitude
So on the hunt again!

So on the hunt again!

Well maybe i jumped the gun.. Did a little research and come to find out there is 2 fuses in the underhood fuse box that controls the heating element for the o2.. Looked at it and 1 fuse is blown and the other is good..
Installed new fuse, as soon as i turned on the key the o2a fuse popped again

Yea, Neighbor is good friends with a gm service manager, he said this is very common.
After the o2's, fuel filter, cap, rotor, tps. I'm in it 180 bucks so far.. Parts are pretty cheap.
Lets see it lol.
