I don't mind. That body style is pretty good, much better than the new ones. Is it a V6 or 4.8?

I had a 97 E-350 van for years with the 2v 5.4 and the engine was indestructible. Have a 2001 1 ton Savana now and I hate it. It has the 350 last year for it. So far I have done the water pump 3 times (2 times on warranty at the GMC dealer I had it done at) the intake gaskets, replaced the fuel injection spider (what a piece of crap that is) Tuned it up Brakes front rotor warped. Fuel pump 3 times! Replaced the radiator. The interior is falling apart. Van had 57,000 on it when I got it it now has about 84k. Every day when I use it I wonder if it will make it through the day with out breaking down, I never had my E350 towed once. this Savana I've had towed 3 times!
I'll never buy GM again no mater how good a deal it is.

I had a 2000 new body style Suburban with the 5.3. Put 142k miles on it before we sold it, family had since new. We put a brand new, $3500 tranny in it at ~120k (spent a good amount of time towing the boat around the Texas hill country) and it blew at 142k, but that isn't the truck's fault, just a bad trans. It was a month out of warranty. Other than that issue, damn good truck and was in great shape for being 12 years old and basically raising 4 kids in it.

Your max tow rating on that with the manual trans is around 4500#. It depends on year and axle. Is that a 2wd short bed?

At least it is that body style...i really despise working on anything GM but thats IMO one of the best looking body styles other than earlier 70's model trucks

It was mostly sarcastic, cause I know you don't have all the GM towing numbers memorized

Well looks like the typical GM crap already. When i Bought the truck it had the cel on, used my scanner and it needed front o2's (po135,po155)
So i decided to go ahead and buy it.

Saturday I Went and got both Upstream o2's replaced them and the truck was running good, That afternoon cel came on again and it was a po122 (tps sensor) so went and got that.. Installed it and drove fine until sunday afternoon

it started to have a hard time starting after sitting for more than 10 mins.. So i looked around on the internet and decided to replace the Distributor Cap&Rotor and the fuel filter. Did all that and it started running good again check engine light stayed off until this morning, then came back on

So i got pissed off and parked it and got in the f150.. So now its sitting on Cl.

All my GM buddies keeps telling me the check engine light in no big deal, most of theirs have been on for up to 5 years, I just dont like that..I guess im a little **** but i like to know my vehicle is running as perfect as it can.. Guess GM owners doesnt have that same attitude

So on the hunt again!
