does anyone know where I could find a wide top expy console for my truck? ive been looing everywhere and cant find one. Im starting to get frustrated! Any help would be very appreciated!

 

I pieced my previous console together from salvage yards, but that was a narrow top. Every wide top console I could find locally was damaged, so I just camped out on eBay for 3 weeks until a pristine one showed up, but it was $30 to ship on top of the crazy asking price. I still thought it was worth it in the end, tho.

 

I think I might be piecing it together via ebay, I have a buddy at the ford dealer ship ima see what he can do

Contact the seller and make sure that it comes with all the parts needed to install. When I ordered mine they said that it came with the "skeleton", it didn't and they had to ship that part separate. If you can find an expy at the pick and pull the brackets to mount it to the floor are probably there if the console isn't.

 

I just found one on ebay for 225,(is this a good price?) It is tan so it will be going through a color change, I will be doing a custom red and black interior w/ katzkin seat covers.

 

If you got the cash and you want it that bad, then sure.

My junkyard narrow top (brackets, subframe, and shell) was $30, and it was a steal.

My eBay pristine wide top was $180+$30 shipping. I ended up paying $200 total which was the limit of what I wanted to pay.

Really good deals on complete eBay consoles are ~$120.

If you're gonna repaint it anyway, you might as well get a junkyard one and recover the lid to match.

 

dude theres several good junk yards in DFW.....

I bought a narrow top for my FIL's truck for Xmas, it was harder to find a clean narrow top than it was to find a wide top

I found mine out jersey for 120 super clean. I made a blank panel where the rear audio controls were. Basically pulled the screws out and made a masonite panel painted it black and installed it between the original controls and the console and used the factory screw to hold it there. worked perfect

 

There's a couple in grandprarie, basically south dallas.
I think there's one in rockwall out your direction

 

that's blackland and I don't deal with them they are a**holes to be nice
