It's a shame that your truck gets messed up due to anothers stupidity. Ditto on getting OEM parts. Toyz... that video is messed up! I guess if they had only stayed out of the center of the roads..................

Yea. Don't put me in a room with someone who drives with no regards for anyone else in weather conditions like that. I chased a guy into a ski lodge parking lot who had passed me on solid ice/white out conditions when I was holding a steady 50mph on a good incline and sharp curves. The center of the road had a lot of loose snow/debris including a pile of road gravel which he decided to spray all over my car chipping the window in numerous spots. The altercation ended with a head butt after a verbal exchange. I thought about doing the right thing....... according to the law and getting his insurance information and etc... but before I could, he yelled "wtf are you following me for" and I said cause your a f*n idiot and without thinking I head butted him which knocked him down. While his gf was swinging a ski pole at me I let him know what an idiot he was for driving and passing in conditions like that. I think I handled it properly, no further trouble came from it other than having to fix my windshield myself and a few paint chips.

I just realized in your pic, the fog light and turn signal survived the carnage but the headlight lost the battle. Broken bulb maybe. Your lucky that the exped crashing into you didnt send you into an out of control spin, over a ditch and off a cliff or something.. man. To think of how much worse it could have been.

Make sure they buy OEM components. I have some Keystone fenders and bumper and crap and it doesn't fit worth a darn. Hood looks good, so thats a plus.
Weak , Damn I love my snow. More the better. This winter sucked. Now that I live in Southern Ontario, its even worst. If theres not 4 ft plus, sledding is crap. Plus the lakes didnt freeze for fishing.

I hope he can still get OEM parts, most are after market. Brother in Law wreaked his 08 Dodge. They couldn't even get a new fender. It was aftermaket Cross Canada ( Keystone crap) now. If they have to replace any parts aftermaket. Make sure it's not primed. The primed ones are made in China.

Bad luck! Grew up in snow country, Lake Placid area. Live in Virginia. These people don't have a clue how to drive in winter! 4X4s worst drivers! Get 3 good estimates, pick a good repair shop. Get check made out to you, do some front mods. Make sure a front end alignment is included, thrust alignment better, all four wheels. I have bright red SCREW, 5th rear bumper on, people run into it @ stop lights! I always move within the 3 second rule as a CHP told me if you don't, justifies stopping you!

Easier driving in snow than dodgin Hurricanes!!

All kidding aside, I've had a few spinners in my day (worst with 4x4's) but nothin like that video... THAT HAD TO HURT. We have some real dumb f**ks up here in Ontario. Drive the same in a blizzard as in the middle of summer on a nice day.

Hope it all works out for ya.

So I got it back from the insurance companies body shop. Not happy at all with the job they did. Didn't repaint my fender or the flair that are both all scratched up. Replaced my tire (only one) with BFG All terrain KO and I have the regular ones so they dont match and the insurance company had agreed to align it and the body shop didn't have that done. Total freaking night mare. Never use the insurance companies people. You not the customer the insurance companies is.

Unbelievable. Have you mentioned these issues to the insurance company since you got it back? Did you say anything to the shop when you picked it up?
What a crap shade shop...
Didnt even put the white letters out, let alone the same tire.

At this point I would seek compensation for time loss and inconvenience.

I went off on the guy at the body shop big time. Probably scared the crap out of him. He made it out like I was trying to milk the insurance company. Said because my wheel flair had touch up paint on it the insurance wouldnt cover Repainting it.. Then the scratches on my fender he said would "buff" out.. I went balistic. Screamin. Swearing.. Called the insurance company today and they want me to take it back Monday. I told them to come and get it. I dont have time to screw around dropping it off and all..
I asked the body shop to give me a price on painting my mirror the back of it and I asked them to grind the rust spot I have thats about the size of a quarter on the side of the bed. They wanted $275 to do that. I of course told them to forget it I can do it with a rattle can for 10 bucks.
I'll never let the insurance fix a Vehicle for me agian. My shop so I'm the customer.

That stinks.... and I would have started with a mis-matched tire!!! When we (usually my wife) have an incident, we get a check from the insurance company and go to a shop we trust. GIVE 'EM HECK, and don't give in!

Yeah I get that now. I'll never do that again. The guy told me on the phone today the tire was not avalible. I stopped over at Costco tonight and they have them on there rack. I also checked Discount tires website and they have them to. If the guy does not get the right tire on it I'll go over to Costco and have it installed and drop the tire off and make the insurance company pay. By the way the insurance company I'm dealing with is Farmers. Just so everyone knows.
