My truck won't burnout anymore
Also is it all stock? As my mods progressed my "burnouts" decreased. I used to be able to roast my 31's, barley spin my 33's, and i can barley move my 35's, lol(not that i would want to with the cost of tires and what ever else i can break)
I used to be able to light up my 37x13.5's with stock 3:73 gearing and 5.4L.....
From a dead stop hooking a sharp turn with no passenger on wet pavement
Really though, I can turn my 33's just find on dry pavement, straight line. Can even leave a little mark in the road.. bout 2' long
If I add anything, even a passenger or a few tools, then I can't. It's that sensitive.
I keep my truck well maintained also

I'm afraid you're right. Damn it! I was looking forward to knowing how close I was in my estimation of how he came to know that his truck will only burnout in grass.
Oh well....another one will come along soon enough.

The OP never gave any usefull info in the first post.
To do whathe 'use to' on dry pavement is IMHO Bs with a 'stock' truck.
He never gave the motor size, the rear gear,or any mods.
My 02 Screw with stock 4.6 but a rebuilt hp trans with a low stall converter and 3.55 will almost break on dry but it depends a lot on the specific conditions.
On a wet road and a little grade from a stop is does become a bear if stepped on to hard.
And this is with 167,000 miles.

That sure brought back some memories of previous vehicles, but NO WAY would I do it to my new $1200 Nittos and new $4000 tranny
heck i chirp em whenever my chebbie driving buddies give me hell, drop 'er in 1st and stand on the brakes... and i an conscious that it burns my tires down... but here and there for short bits of time is ok in my opinion.
