Str8t six's Lightning swap thread

im going to use this thread to show my progress in doing a Lightning swap on a N/A F150.

the first thing i did was swap out the stock pump for a walbro 255 LPH fuel pump. this was a little difficult because i was having problems with one of the plugs wouldnt come undone.

im now starting to take apart the stock intake. ive already drained the coolant, removed upper radiator hose, throttle cables, alternator, and the stock intake.

more progress tommorrow!

The lightnings are have supercharged 5.4l engines. so benefits are lots and lots and lots of extra power potential.

man you guys have no patience!
i only get to work on it a couple hours a day.
had to go buy a different fuel line tool

got the intake off

found out i had 1/4" of dirt in every spark plug hole!
so i had to vacuum and blow all that out.

then i dropped some dirt in the head by the intake valve and had to get that out.

cleaned up the gasket surface and put in new plugs

put on the new gaskets

Lower intake is on with COPS and intercooler lines ran.
