Str8t six's Lightning swap thread
im going to use this thread to show my progress in doing a Lightning swap on a N/A F150.
the first thing i did was swap out the stock pump for a walbro 255 LPH fuel pump. this was a little difficult because i was having problems with one of the plugs wouldnt come undone. http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4084.jpg http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4082.jpg http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4083.jpg im now starting to take apart the stock intake. ive already drained the coolant, removed upper radiator hose, throttle cables, alternator, and the stock intake. http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4085.jpg http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4086.jpg more progress tommorrow!:rocker: |

i only get to work on it a couple hours a day. had to go buy a different fuel line tool http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4089.jpg got the intake off http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4087.jpg found out i had 1/4" of dirt in every spark plug hole! so i had to vacuum and blow all that out. http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4092.jpg http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4095.jpg then i dropped some dirt in the head by the intake valve and had to get that out. http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4091.jpg http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4096.jpg cleaned up the gasket surface and put in new plugs http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4099.jpg put on the new gaskets http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4100.jpg Lower intake is on with COPS and intercooler lines ran. http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/...p/DSCF4101.jpg |
