I want to add the stereo and A/C steering wheel controls. I know the '05 Excursion wheel is interchangeable (with a little extra wiring), but I found the wheel from a '07 Navigator to be a million times better looking. I would be planning on buying the wheel, airbag, and clockspring new. Will it fit?

Bolt wise, it LOOKS like it would (don't quote me on that). Its not going to align with the shaft cover at all. But I agree, thats pretty damned sharp looking.

 

Yea that wheels looks awesome! If it works I'm definitely gonna add this to my list of upgrades haha.

 

Id recommend going to ebay/ a junk yard for the wheel and then just get a new airbag/clockspring

Not sure that the airbag portion would wire in tho, i think 97-03 is a single stage bag, and the 04-08 use a dual stage airbag

 

I'm not sure what that means - what is the shaft cover? Does that mean it might not fit, or that it could still fit but look funny?

What's the difference?
