So i just go a set of hi/low 8000k HID and i think there is a problem. I only have two lights, two ballast, and the relay that hooks up to he battery. The hook up diagram shows that i should have some other hi/low control thing? any help please???

 

The relay is whats used for the hi/lo setting.

 

How is it wired? because i hooked the relay up to the battery and if i hook the relay to the ballast then the headlight only hooks up to the factory plug?

 

When you hook the ballast to the factory headlight plug you should have three wires plugged in on the ballast side if I remember correct the middle is the hi-beam signal, and the outside is ground and low beam signal. I don't remember the color codes though.

 

Well i got it hooked up thanks! haha they are really nice! i got 8000k and they arent too blue and really arent too bright and didnt have anybody flash me during my 2 hour drive round town last night!

 

Just because you didn't get flashed doesn't mean its safe. One of these nights I'm going to record a test I did. I kept my 50W bi-xenon projectors pushing over EIGHT THOUSAND LUMENS on high beam and out of ~30 cars I passed, I only got flashed ONCE.

tl;dr- Getting flashed isnt a measure of glare. See below (both are jokes referring to the owner of the truck in the pic)

 

Well im going to retrofit L headlights soon so taht should help right?

 

If they are in your factory lenses then I would take them out until you get the retrofit done. Those things probably have insane glare!

 

Ok! haha thanks for the advice. And how hard is it to retrofit? Jw cuz i know how but is it time consuming or just straight up hard?

 

L headlights is a strait swap, I think there referring to retrofitting projectors in which isn't too hard just takes time and patience.

 

Any advice on good retrofits or even aftermarket projector heads?
