Custom thoughts??

I have a 2000 XLT extended cab and was thinking of someway to have split seats in the back and have a custom sub box in the middle. I was thinking of maybe putting smaller jump seat like in a Ford van since the ext part isnt big enough to put in captains chairs. Has anybody seen this done??

Those might fit but look at the leg room you would have. Maybe its just cause the front seats are scooted and leaned back or something. As far as a custom box, you could make one like some members have and make it go between the seat and the front console, up and onto the back seat to make a console back their. Something like the one in this thread https://www.f150online.com/forums/sp...m-sub-box.html

Wow. That's nice. Little tight, but sweet.

Yeah i like the seats but looks like there is absolutely nooo legroom. I mean would there be even close to any legroom in the back if the front seats arent leaned back and are scooted up a little? And yeah i build custom boxes for friends ha i actually built one for a 18'' Solo X to go in a Screw. But i think iwanna but buckets in the front AND back

You could possibly get a pair of bucket seats from the front of a screw that was wrecked and cut out some of the middle of the cushion and have them rewrapped by an upholstery shop. That would probably be cheaper then going with aftermarket bucket seats.

I wouldn't think it would cost too much for just the lower cushion to be rewrapped. Depending on what material you use, cloth or leather, I wouldn't think more that $200 for two cushions.

I would think the only way to get it other than a wrecked HD would custom built seats and cushions, plus the custom leather wrapping by an upholstery shop. I doubt there are any aftermarket HD seats.

You could do the screw buckets and make a custom console to fit a single high end 12 either sealed or ported. You can also put cupholders and a storage section on top so you would have the function of a console and a hidden sub.

I have a 60/40 bench in the back and modified the 60 part to a 40, which left a space in the middle for a box that I needed the extra cubic feet volume. The box is pretty rookie status, could have spent more time with it to look better but this is how it turned out. Took about 2 hours to modify the 60 part of the bench and for it so still functionally flip down. Required some minor welding on the structure of the seat. But was able to gain the CF I needed for the L5 without it being too tall.

Kind of regret it now as it takes up a lot of space. So I am on the hunt for a new rear seat and a different setup.
