02 F150 HD Bumpy ride.

I need help. I have a 02 F150 Harley Davidson and my truck is very bumpy when i get on the freeway, I've balanced the tires various of times and checked the air pressure too but it still bumpy. The Dealer also put some kind weight bar by the rear bumper and didn't do too much of a difference. What should i do? Any suggestions?

How many miles are on it, and whens the last time you checked/changed the rear shocks?

@pizzaman. It has 100,000 miles and haven't changed any of the shocks. The thing is that its always been bumpy thats why the dealer put the weight bar.

Ah well that rules that out as a problem, but it would be a good time to go ahead and change all shocks then. Those were worn about 40k ago haha.

A lot of people recommend bilsteins, I have them on the front of my truck and love them. Since your not lifted I'd look into the bilstein hd's they're not the cheapest shock out there (about 70ish a piece if i remember right) but they should get the job done pretty good and last longer than the factory ones. Whether this will fix the bumpy ride I don't know, but it definitely wouldn't hurt.

Bushings. After a while the heat causes them to stiff up, so the body takes a lot more of the vibrations of the road.
