Custom sub boxes *extended cab only*
show off your custom sub boxes in your extended cab f150 looking to put a 12" shallow sub in my f150 but i also want to put 6x9 speakers under the seat... with the speaker boxes from futureshop... wedge shaped to fit slightly under the seat... is this possible? thanks
I don't have pix, but the sub box I have for two shallow 12"ers takes up all the space under the rear seats (and then some, sticks out an inch or two), so I'm doubtful you could do both. Plus now my jack is floating around back there.
well i just decided to go with a 10" shallow... its just easier and i can get a pioneer 10" 1200watt fairly cheap so i think im going to go with that. i jus thave to find a box that will fit right in the middle where the hump is that has .35 cubic feet of space... im not sure if i can make something like that or not
This was the first box I built.. took up too much space though. Kicker L5 tuned to 33hz.

I modified the center seat to get the cubic foot volume I needed without the box being too tall...

I wanted the sub facing the back because I have kids and didn't want them poking at it

what im looking at doing is, in the center of the seat underneath... when i put a seat lift in, with a shallow 10" sub i want to be able to build a box underneath the center, i dont care if it comes down on to the one side a bit but i need to fit speakers underneath each side as well... if anyones done this post up some pics thanks!
i am upgrading the door speakers as well... im also running 2 6x9s off my amp with about 4 meters of wire to each speaker so i can stick them out the back window and up on the roof

Ah i get you, I went that route for a while and then later just tapped in pa speakers of my headunit and put two in the grille and two under the rear bumper. It was awesome for tailgating!
