Haha yea it made it easier cause I didnt have to deal with taking them in and out and they're water proof. And when i was stuck in traffic i could just cut them on to make everyone around me mad haha

Sub box

Hey 31 YNOT, do you have any measurements, materials list for that box? I really like the way it fits completely under the seats an blends in with the interior as well as giving a little extra storage space.

Bump.

I would love to get some measurements out of this thread. My 10" Type R looks so out of place in it's rectangular enclosure, and I'm afraid I'll be too dumb to measure out my own box.

My setup is kinda like rednutbow's but less... form fitting. lol

Just get on the alpine website and get the recommended specs for a sealed box and subtract the sub displacement and you'll have what you need the inside volume to be. What I always do is get a sheet of graph paper to draw mine out first and come up with a bunch of designs and go with the one thatll fit my interior airspace and my exterior dimensions.

I dont have any measurements for the box, sorry guys. How I made mine was took general measurements and then first made my box out of cardboard to see what fit right where, that way I wasnt wasting MDF by needing to cut extra pieces.

They hit pretty damn hard bro. I've had them since 2009 and not a single problem. I need to upgrade my door speakers though. but even with the bass turned all the way down they still sound good. Its fun being in traffic and you can see the person's car in front of vibrate lol. I've pissed a lot of people off haha

Another option I was considering was firing the sub forward and letting it stick out a little under the seat. I'll lose a little legroom, but it's not like anyone sits back there anyways. I have the older Type R, and it's pretty huge.

I dont know where to get them but I have seen some lift the back seats up higher to fit more stuff under them
