Efans help

Alright so i got my leveling kit on and will be saving up to get a body lift and some new tires at the same time but meanwhile i would like to look into efans since most people seem to believe they make quite a big difference in performance and mpg. I will not however pay the 400-500 dollars for a kit because that's just ridiculous. What exactly are all the components i would need for my own custom setup? And please feel free to leave any suggestions of certain items. Im looking to keep it under $200 if possible. Thank you for all your help!

All you need is a fan and a controller with a temp sensor. Check out madeneterprise.com for the DIY kit

I used the Flexalite controller with a Mark VIII fan, great combo! Havens had an issue other than a blown fuse. The fuse supplied with the controller is a 30amp, replace it with a 40amp and your good to go

yes it would work but i would suggest not getting that controller, i went through about 5 of them and about 6 of those cheap ebay fans. get a mark VIII fan and make your own controller our of 5 relays and a temperature sensor from autozone, i did that and have not had a single problem in about 40,000 miles

and here is a thread about making the controller
http://gbodyforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=10001

and autozones temp sensor
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...267187_9581_0_

should be able to do it for under $150 easily

Yes, you take that chance with any aftermarket part you buy. The ones I bought are ProComps (for the same price) with a lifetime warranty, off an eBay seller. And the controller was $34 from AdvancedAuto. Mine are up to 55,000 miles.

I agree on the $150 part, mine was $130 with everything-

awesome ok thank you guys. So basically just two 16" fans and a controller then just the custom mounting and wiring.

or that single 18" mark viii fan which flows more than the 2 16" fans, and is an OEM part, or take a chance with an aftermarket fan, do a search and see how many have failed, then search for the mark viii fan and see how not one has failed and works great. your choice

x2. some are crap, but most fans are pretty well made. The motors in my ProComps are Bosch motors (also OEM, non-Ford though), but the Mark VIII is a great setup
