5 speed mileage

I am wondering what kinda fuel mileage a 97-03 4.6 5 speed truck gets?

Not quite sure, I have a 4.2 with a 5 speed and i tend to get about 18 on the highway. I have gotten as high as 20 before but that was when I was driving in a strong thunderstorm and the fastest I could go and still see was 45 to 55. In the city I can get about 14 to 15. Alot of it depends on how you drive it and when you shift. I believe the truck's manual tells you the most efficient way to shift gears with respect to how fast the truck is moving

What cab and bed configuration do you have? I have a buddy that has a regular cab, short bed and he gets around 22 hwy depending on all the factors (speed, wind, terrain, etc). 14-15 is about common in the city due to the stop and go.

EPA rates that vehicle configuration as 13/17

I have seen 15 and 18 when I drove slow. That was before all the mods. Now I see 10 and 15.

Mine is a supercab 4x4 with 33" tires and 3.55 gears. I get 13-14 around town and 16-18 on the highway. All depends on how you drive it.
