Well that is a good goal. I would set it closer to 2000. But good luck with that man!! Always fun having projects like that.

What exactly went wrong with the motor?

Wouldn't it be funny if it was something as dumb and easy as a cam position sensor.

Or hell even a blown plug.

Not long ago I ran into a guy selling a similar F150. He thought the motor was blown Anyway I'm too damned honest and told him actually he had just launched a plug. Should have kept my mouth shut and picked it up cheap. LOL

not so sure what is wrong with the motor,i wont know until i have the key programmed but it does turn over and it seems as if everything works, like the lights brake lights turn signals all windows go up and down power door locks, as soon as i get some free time and my second key(which i mail order for $9 to the door) the truck is going in for the program

today i got the keys programmed and had to buy a starter so with the tow to ford and the tow home from ford and the cost of the program and starter, todays grand total is 282.00 bringing the total cost of this project 657.00........the motor turns over but i have no fuel pressure, and it sounds hurt. i got the line disconnected in front of the fuel filter with nothing.. is there a fuse or relay i should check before i try to get the the fuel pump?and also can the bed be pulled to get to the fuel pump?

There is some wiring underneath that likes to corrode and then no fuel pump. . . If memory serves me I've heard the guys say its up by the spare tire? I haven't had this issue(knock on wood) but its something to keep in mind.

Before you crank it up some more you might pull the belt. That way when it/if it fires, if there is noise you'll know it's not coming from an accessory.

To give you an idea if the motor is self destructing, buy an oil filter($3) o.k. maybe a little more but pull the oil filter that is currently on and cut that sucker open with some tin snips.(hacksaw will pollute the results) then inspect the filter media for foreign particles.
