Haha yea I have only had one auto and that is my current car. All the rest of my other vehicles were manuals as well. Loved my 82 capri rs. That had a 4 speed and I pulled that out and put a 5 speed in it.

 

im droolin over this 6spd ur gonna do... if it works for you id so be next in line to do it. im all about more gear options. id drop an 18 spd in it if i could haha.

 

Haha yea that would be sick!! And it is gonna be nice. I know it can be done. Just a little bit of fab work. Have to box in more of the frame and new drive shafts and body lift. I know the 5 speed out of the superduty is almost a direct swap cause it has the same spline count and same length. the 6 speed is like 3 inches longer so thats what I have to deal with. but I will definitly be taking pictures as I go. I have a thread started of the swap. I don't know if you have seen it or not.

 

naw havent seen it. i will def try to find it n subscribe to it. i am tryin to scheeme ways to get that 01... like well if i take my tax return plus if i can get 3k for my truck, n come up with 1000 or so n i can buy it, but then it would sit in oregon till i can get gas money to get it to ks.... hahaha...

yea the only things im worried about is possibly a bad clutch, bad ball joints, theres gotta be a reason that thing is so cheap, my 97 was 7k with 150k n its only got the 3rd door n the 4.6... maybe bad wheel bearings?

 

Have you talked to them at all?? I know there's a couple guys in oregon from the forum. Maybe if they are close to it have them go and look at it.

 

they are hunting a service log for it for me. so we will see. i just dont wanna buy it n then have to drive a beat up pos 2000 miles to ks.

 

Yea that would suck!! See if they can get it on a lift and take pictures of the underbody and engine bay for you. All the other pictures make it look clean.

Hey man thanks. Yea I will hit you up when I get back to the states either this summer or fall. Don't know which one it will be yet. June or october.
