Yea, get pics, if you have a chance. The harness connectors should be all the same. In fact I know they are, they have to be, since 508's ONLY come in one style.

The only connector change as far as harness and these models were @ the injectors. From EV1 to EV6. Other than that, no change or choice when ordering 508's (coils). I think you are mistaken, somehow. (?) Yea get some pics, let me know if you have a problem uploading. PM me and I'll upload or help you to.

Yea the Metal Tabs are called Blades, -I know what your mean obviously, but like I said, to put it differently, - connector and blade change were only @ the injectors. To further explain, this is a difference from the Crown Vic car line harness (EV6) to the truck line harness (EV1). I've got pics of that as well lol, since I run Crown Vic EV6 connectors and Bosch Type 3 Injectors on my 98.

I'll probably have pictures in 2 or 3 hours. I want to be wrong on this but I'd bet some serious dough that these connectors are different. The only thing I could think of is that somehow part of the male end broke off in the female end and that it is a ridiculously clean and even break. And like I said before, but with correct terminology now, the blades are different sized too.

I have had my truck for only 11k of the 161k miles and I really don't have any clue of the maintenance or repairs before me so maybe something could have been changed (which I highly doubt). My dads has 141k and he bought it with lower miles and was the first to change out plugs so I know all of his stuff is pretty much all original and the work was done at a dealership.

Don't worry , you are

Better keep your money, you might need it later, but I'd be willing to put up two new coils, - since I only have 2 bucks and change on me at the moment lol.

Before I post the pics, how much are willing to wager on this? 2 bucks and change or do you want to bump it up? Pictures coming as soon as I get them on photobucket.

This is between an 02 and 99 5four ? Both COP ignitions. Just post the pics, I don't want you to loose. DG 508's have just one type of connector.

yes 99 and 02 5.4l f150's.

I must correct myself because I mentioned previously that they were both dg508s. I had remembered looking at both COPs (last picture) and seeing EE03A and knew both said the same thing and that made me think it was saying dg508.

I also took one more off each motor and they were just the same as those pictured.

Yea, their the same. One connector has an insert is all. The part # is the middle number. Numbers before and after are origin, year made and revision #.

So 12A366 = DG508.

Thats the thing, it won't plug in. It only goes halfway and stops and will not lock. Look at the inside of the yellow motorcraft and see the ridge all the way around it .Now when I try to plug the vice versa COPs onto the other truck (for the helluvit), it will go all the way but not lock.

And yes, to pinpoint the problem and because the other truck is broke down and he won't care if I steal the COPs until he gets his running again.

Yea, it won't lock because the locking tab is busted off. Look at your comparison pictures, the bottom connector pic on the engine harness. See the connector that is almost out of view ? Well that one has the locking mechanism still in place while the connector in the forefront is without. It must have broken off at some point, - they do that, it's common. You'll have to zip tie until your able to get a pig tail to replace.

When you get a new pig tail, there's no need to cut and solder. You replace just the connector, - they all are replaceable without hacking the wire.

I'll look at them again, but I'm serious, there isn't another Coil style. Just the DG 508 and DG 511. The 511 is for the 3 valve engine.

I have the Ford Connector PDF up now. PM your e-mail and I'll send you the PDF if you want it. You can see all connectors and order what you need.

I will go try this for third time tomorrow. lol. I know the one plug is broken. I accidentally broke it today but it wasn't broke yesterday when I tried it. But that one doesn't matter anyway because it is not my truck. As you know, I'm trying to get the yellow motorcraft onto the red looking plug and I swear it won't go. That ridge looking thing inside the yellow motorcraft COP (that is not in the black COP) stops when it hits the red part of the male plug, which stops it halfway. The only thing I think may work is trying to remove that red thing.
