Trailer brake controller mounting.

I was browsing the tow/haul section, was wondering how many of the 97-03 owners are mounting their trailer controller? maybe some pics from those who have a nice clean install for those of us wondering where we can shoe horn one in at?

I personally followed the previous owners marks and mounted below the cubby hole in the dash.

I put mine in the little storage cubby to the right and below the steering wheel, its a little bit of a reach if you want to manually control the brakes but not terrible and it is almost hidden and out of the way. I just used some strong velcro and its not going anywhere! could take a pic for ya if it helps

I put my Prodigy kinda in line with my right knee, doesn't touch but over there a bit. Does the job for me anyways and is kinda unnoticed.

Mine lines up more on the left side between the brake and the park brake. Not the best photo but you can see it tucked in there.

I mounted mine below the little flip out pannel for the cigarette lighter. I have never hit my knee on it and it can be reached with little bending over.

There we go, FordGuy24 has his in practically exact location I have mine. Its just a curiosity because I do toss my wallet in that cubby hole when I do longer trips. My brother kind of gave me a little bug about cleaning up the appearance of the truck. ya know like less hillbilly wiring

Klitch, that's what I do on longer trips too...usually the wallet or EZPass. I tucked the wires up behind the dash so they aren't visible. It's easier for me to see and adjust the controller from where its at

Well the bug started with my brother, he seen it and didnt like it, so he went for a much newer truck that has a integrated brake controller.

Yea that's what I like about the newer Super Duties...make it part of the dash, like it belongs on the truck
