Headlight Help!!
Headlight Help!!
Ok I have this new to me 99 F150 SCab and well the headlights SUCK!!!! They are yellowed and not too bright. What does everyone do for upgrading the headlights and the driving lights. HIDs? New headlights? Just looking for insight, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Personally if you think they suck that bad try some meguiars ultimate compound on them first, i used em on my truck and my gfs car and it worked well....But id say grab a pair or two of the hell500ff driving lights, HUGE difference....
Also, if you didn't know, there is a trick you can do to get both high and low beams on at the same time, wedge a piece of paper behind the high beam lever so when you push it back they both stay on, just push it back slowly till it clicks and u can see both are on...you will know what i mean.

Go stop by your local auto parts store or wal mart or anywhere with a automotive section really. Look for the headlight restoration kit. Its comes with a mild abrasive and an attachment for a drill and an extra cloth. My headlights where all yellowish and cloudy and after i polished them with this kit they were clear and brand new and the headlights where much brighter. But even now with the clear lenses i am looking to upgrade my headlights to something a little better like those fancy projectors or hids. These stock lights just don't light up the dark empty desert i live in as much as i like them to.

The Ultras do not come in an H13 though ( 04+), dang it. No idea why.= - and no reason given.

Once you get your headlights polished, purchase one of those aftermarket headlight wiring kits. Got mine from Summit, it powers the headlights directly from the battery, via a relay of course, makes a major difference than running them through stock wiring.
