Exclamation Wipers problem and GEM

So here goes again. another messed up wipers and dome light issue.

all the threads ive search through just seem to die before being fully resolved.

my specific problem

no wipers
no dome or map lights
no door chime

i used this thread with posts from sscully

https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...-problems.html

and i jumped the washer pump relay and the interior lamp relay and the dome light worked but no maps or reaction to the door being open or shut.
the washer pump worked with the jumper and the key in the on position.

my problem is idk where to go from here. i found a write up on swapping the GEM but idk if thats what i need to do for sure or where to get one.

any help is welcome im running out of time before it rains again in texas and i cant afford to not have a drivable truck.

Yes they work, and they haven't done it since this spring but i am sure it will start again soon. I haven't had the dome light in the truck in about 3 weeks as the interior and headliner is out but i have never had any problems with it.

Thats a fair amount of work to get the GEM out... There is suppose to be a way to test it as well. which leads to this next part.

Jake: I have read certain years had issues with moisture getting into the cab and dripping onto GEM, it was a known issue for certain years (found info on here one time)

I also assume you've verified fuses are good

yea i checked the fuses and the normally open relays and they all tested good.

i just pulled it out and it wasnt as bad as you would think but damn what a piece of junk the GEM is its so cheap idk how ford could charge 400 for one.

still dont know if its my problem or not

Mine in my ranger looked like that..the dome light would blink on and off with the door open and the chime sounded weird, then the wipers would work every now and then and finally went out. Check if you have a pick and pull or a decent junk yard nearby no way i'd pay 400 for that pos

Well put it all back together so I could drive the truck and it's still doing the same thing so I know I didn't break it any more but I'm still pissed
