Curious what some would pay

So I got a call this morning from the dealership where my truck was over the weekend telling me that my truck had been broken into and the stereo had been stolen. After thinking about it for most of the day, I've come to the conclusion that I'll just go with a standard head unit and run the speakers I've got in the door and not bother with a complex system.

How much should I try to put the center console that had the sub woofer enclosure and JL 10w3v2 up for?

Dude same thing happened to me at my dealership over the weekend in Austin, TX about 2 months ago. Dealership was cool though and gave me a new kenwood radio. They had 3-4 for me to select from.

Wish mine was that cool, they aren't covering anything. I'm not surprised though, they're probably one of the shadier dealerships here. Once they get done replacing my PCM I'm won't be going back.

Jake I'll try and get those pics after lunch.

To bad thats not my color, like the idea. How does it sound? I know its only a single 10, but as far as air space and it being plastic.

When I took the woofer out to see exactly what kind it was it looked like the whole thing was open on the inside with polyfill in it. I'm pretty sure the box portion itself is fiberglass. It sounded good, it took a while getting used to the sub being right next to me, I was running it off a JL250/1.

I'll get the outside dimensions after work today to give you an idea.

Ok, got some quick measurements.

At the tray/storage compartment it sits 12.5 inches high and at the cup holder it sits 7 inches high, around 24 inches long and 12.25 wide from outside edge to outside edge/11.75 inches across on the surface where the speaker mounts. This is w/o the outer shell.

As of now there's a JL Audio 10W3v2-d6 in it, which according to the owner's manual requires a mounting hole diameter of 9.125 in. In comparison the 12W3v2-d6 a mounting hole diameter of 11.06 inches.

the idea is just too good, my console is coming out and ima put a 10 in there, maybe squeeze a 12 if possible.. love the idea and im tired of my giant box I made sitting on the back seat.. I'm going to give it a shot next week and see how it goes.
