Bigger upper control arms

Hey guys need some help on this one. Eventually I'm going to put spacers back in the front of my expedition to raise it up more. This is forcing me to get bigger upper control arms. What I need to know is what control arms do I need to look into that will work with my 7.5 fabtech system. Is there any out there with a uniball system instead of using ball joints? Does the fabtech long travel uppers work with the normal 7.5 system. I'm also open to other brands. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

The fabtech uppers work with the lift you already have, then again.. so do the lowers. If you put the uppers on there then you could run a 2" spacer and it would still be align-able.

I dont know of any uniball systems, that arent custom really. I know Brenthel makes a uniball kit, but its not that popular yet. You should ask them if they will sell you just the upper arms and uniball parts. I am sure they would. Uniballs would allow you to do pretty much whatever you wanted with the suspension.

Either way you go.. I cant see you running anything smaller than 37s or 38s without them looking little.

Uniballs if made are rare and gonna be hella expensive.

I want to do the same and I'm gonna get the fabtech or doetsch ones for mine just like brad suggested

Doestch would probably be one of the easiest routes to go with the UCAs. They are made to look just like the fabtech UCAs. As a matter of fact, the only difference between the lift spindles between the two companies is the bore where the upper ball joints attach.

Thats what fabtech wants you to believe. Just like they dont make the dual shock hoops either. They still have some of that stuff just sitting around in warehouses and collecting dust. You just have to know who to talk to.

When they messed up my LT lift, they actually had to pull out the old fixtures and all of that and make me a new driver side upper. Afterwards, they just decided that they would make both driver and passenger and had me return both of my first set. Its the dual shock uppers that are extinct as far as I know. BUT if you look carefully there are wholesalers on ebay trying to clean out all the old kits and things.

Do you guys have part numbers on either one? And I thought you could run 2.5 or 3 spacer with new uppers? I ran a 2 and it was align-able before I got the fabtech. I was thinking about doestech but I could only find the entire kit I didn't know they sell individual parts. What do you guys think of this one I found, DJM suspension I guess is who makes them.

Last question, when you get these aftermarket, such as the kit I listed or fabtech or doestech, the ball joints are removable so you don't have to replace the entire control arm again, correct?

Those are for lowering.

My ball joints are totally removeable. All I have to do is unbolt them and press a new one in.

Yeah. I want to be able to run spacers again in the front to gain more lift. I just need to the uppers to fix the camber issue with a bigger spacer. Rear lift will be much easier. All I have to do is get spacers for the rear as well to level it out. I'll most likely be making a new set of trailing arms for it as well. Either that or drilling new holes for the frame to extend the rear tire back out so it doesn't keep sliding forward.

Jake, if you can find the link I would appreciate it. Looks like I'm down to two options between doestech and fabtech. Thanks guys.

Gotcha. I searched all over ebay for "upper control arms and couldn't find aftermarket ones. I see these are listed as c-arms. Thanks for the link. I'm looking at a few used fabtech ones if the people I've tried contacting will ever respond. I may just have to go with these. 300 is a bit of a set back. Think I could run 3" spacers with the fabtech and be okay? Or should I just stick to say 2.5?
