still having gauge problems

still having gauge problems

well its happened again. i received a new unit and wire and was running fine for about a month then on my way back to tampa it had happened twice. now i dont know whats wrong, any more suggestions? i still have the intermittent odo i've been meaning to fix also

ps my mph gauge has been almost ticking like a clock(not smooth)

i need some suggestions please, thanks

Don't keep starting new threads, - makes it more difficult to help, - whether you get an answer or not,keep all the info in one spot, just update or bump your thread. Also someone searching won't miss out.

yea i know this is just really getting on my nerves, i think its my edge and im gunna take it out for a while and see what happens then.

Still having problems without the edge. A friend of mine had all of the solder joints on the cluster re-soldered and it fixed the problem on his truck. Shop said there was a period when solder quality was poor and joints may crack and lose connection. They did all of them because you may not be able to see with the naked eye.

thanks for the tip. although since taking the edge out completely i have not a any any problems(had 2 now). just gotta find some time to rip my dash apart.
