Looking at another Truck, Need help
In my particular scenario and vehicles, that is not a significant enough number for me to put down the KBB as being the dealers tool to bone me. These guides are just that, a guide. Anybody who takes the figures any vehicle pricing guide gives, as solid #'s, deserves to get screwed.
I see absolutely no evidence to take your statement seriously.
The NADA guide puts the 97 pickup in question at an "average trade in" of $3325. Therefore, given the potential cost of repairing the A/C, I still say that $3500 would be a fair "private party" sale price.
well passed it up. Drove two hours and wasn't clean enough for me. The pipes were rusted through and there were alot of scratches all over and the inside was pretty dirty. I would clean up but it was a lot of work for 3800. so came home and looked On CL agian and found this, going to go look at it tonight. seems a little bit better. I would rather pay that price for a nice clean truck than more than I should for a dirty one. This one has 175,000 miles and it come with the stock tires and rims. I would love to Pay 5,000 for this one but am thinking he will say 5,200

I just ran both of my vehicles through both the KBB and NADA guides and the difference between the two averaged $250 with NADA having a slightly higher figure.
