Got a offer on my KR, Should I Sell?
yea yea i know, i keep looking at it. Im likeing it more and more. Just would have to check the body work that has been performed on it and make sure the paint look professional. You could always go look at it for me and check it out
It kinda look's to me like its at a impound lot

Totally understand what you are saying, i wasnt rude to him or anything but he don't seem to take the answer no, seems like he is kinda pushing me to sell it and i dont like that. The old man is the nicest person you will ever meet. He offered me his truck for even trade but its a 06 4.6 xlt supercrew 128000 miles.
A) The Old Man IS persistent since he saw your truck. Memories are priceless (for Him and You) !! I can attest to that
B) He originally offered $14K, I suggested asking $15K, and now he is offering $15K + a trade ? Or is it Other?
Sounds like you have good communication skills.. (I Don't) ... Work it my fellow member.
IMO... BOTH of you can be happy in the end IF the price is right

Coy I think what I would do is tell the guy next time he calls that you have his card, and if you find something that really makes it worthwhile to sell then you will call him. You will know when you find something worth selling yours. Since you don't have to sell no need in feeling pressured by him.
Might not be a bad idea...but for a 4x4 with 80,000 miles i might be asking a little more than 13k.
Edit: But much like you, I've always had a thing for the first gen King Ranch F150's...and have also always had a thing for the 97-03 SuperCrew. So this truck will probably be retired to my dad for a hunting rig when i decide to get something different.

OP if your truck is paid off I say keep it and save money. In the past I have sold three cars and regretted it the second I saw them drive away. My 02 SS was the hardest to let go because nothing was stock.
This is my current truck and I plan to keep it forever. Its almost paid off and when it is I plan on getting another fast car or a bike and using the truck as a DD. If something goes out I plan on replacing it with built or better parts.

Yeah, I agree with Erik. In all honesty, if you have your truck paid off, and don't have money for something quite a bit newer than what you have it really wouldn't be worth it. Speaking as someone who has a very similar truck as you do, I don't think you're going to want to downgrade to something of lesser luxury than a King Ranch. But then again, I'm not the kind of person that likes to be in debt. I prefer to pay in cash.
I've just read this entire thread, my opinion is DO NOT sell your truck, its awesome. If you would get rid of it, get another 03 or as you said earlier, get a brand new one. I worked for a car dealership and the 04-08 style KR seats are sooo ugly, there is no rear console option, they are so very slow compared to the 03 which I can't understand why, and the gauge cluster makes me want to vomit. Stick to your guns and keep your truck, you are happy with it so why change that??
P.S. Spark plugs on the 3v engines are worse to change than the 2v, I'm a technician so I know this for sure, especially if you break a plug off in the head.
