f150 clicks but wont start

I have a 2001 4.6 screw and its coil got wet. I replaced the coil and spark plug but now that its all in my truck wont start. I turn the key all the way and I hear a click but nothing else. After the click it looses all power and I have to disconnect then reconnect the battery again. I cant figure out the problem any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

You have a corroded/loose connection in the start circuit at some point.
If your dash gages also go dead, and interior lights also go out, that is also supporting the cause of your no 'crank' issue.
Clean both battery connections and posts.
Go over the starter connections and power cablse at all point.
Good luck.

Going with the cable ends or battery.

I agree, - starter posts are most likely corroded. Common problem.
