Truck got "tagged"

So I was gone to Port Aransas for the weekend with the college-aged group from my church and when I got back, this is what my windshield looked like. It was dishwashing detergent (the powdery kind) and window chaulk. It was all put on Friday night and we didn't get back until this afternoon (Sunday) at 1:30. They got everyone's car that went. It got up to 105 degrees this weekend, so the soap just baked into the glass...I worked all day to get it off, but couldn't get it all the way off so I'm headed to a detail place tomorrow to see if they can do it. We found out who it was and it ended up being another girl in the group who didn't go; she took her friends with her and they did this. I called her and told her to help clean it up and that we were all pissed off and she didn't come help and showed no remorse, saying that we should lighten up....and that's when I tore into her. She's freakin' 25 years old pulling crap like this; she thought it was a joke...I told her she needed to take some responsibility for her actions and that I am going to the detailer tomorrow to see what the cost is going to be to get it taken off. "It's just soap, it should come off with water" she said three hours after we've been trying to get it off..."Do you not think we haven't tried that?!" I just went off on her. Then she started crying, lol. I didn't realize I was that harsh on her haha, but still felt like a jerk (I hate making girls cry...just kind of a thing of mine). But I held my ground through the crying and she's still going to be paying to get it cleaned and detailed, along with a couple of other cars she did. Mine and two others got the worst of it (mostly mine ). Anyway, I've written a freakin' book here lol...but here's the pics:

Where it drained down into the textured trim...actually got this out with WD40. The only thing I can't get clean is the windshield. It's not caked anymore, but it still looks like someone just poured syrup or something on there.

As mad as I am, she didn't really know this would happen...she just thought "It's only soap, what can it hurt?" so I'm not just furious at her anymore...especially since she never denied it and is owning up to it and paying for it.

Holy crap. Like any thread with pictures, I looked before I read. I thought it was spraypaint! Good thing it wasn't as serious as I thought!

Have you tried Bon Ami. This is the no scratch cleanser. I think another is Barsol. They work well with getting windshields spotless without damage.

Man, when I read that the first thing I thought of was 'The Ghost and Mr Chicken'.

"...And they used Bon-Ami!"

Yeah, but it works. I use it about once a year to get all the grime that won't come off with soap and water or glass cleaner.

Sometimes bad things happen to bad people...Sometimes you get cuts in your tire's sidewalls and sometimes you fall down a flight of stairs onto a up-side down running lawn mower...It happens all the time, trust me, it happens more than you think...

Nothing works guys...it baked into the windshield. I took it to a car wash/detail place here today and they washed the whole truck and the nothing came off the windshield. So then they used some compound and a buffer and that didn't even take it off. I mean it did help, but now it juts looks like a bunch of tree sap or something is on there. The guy that buffed it called me over to the truck and showed me how it was like cutting into the windshield. You can run your fingernail into the spots where the soap was and feel the pits. They told me to get it back to the way it was, I'll probably have to just replace the windshield.

No you did the right thing, rip her a new one. That's pretty belligerent for a 25 yr old ADULT. Make her pay...you probably will need a new windshield. Shouldn't be messin with people's vehicles
