Agreed. Sure it was a prank and she thought it was harmless, but it wasn't. 25 years old, should've known better, yadda yadda it's true... but the bottom line is that her actions permanently damaged your property and you should receive compensation.
She learned an expensive lesson, and YOU shouldn't be the one paying for that lesson. The law would agree, and I think you'll find that most responsible people would agree as well... especially here where everyone treats their trucks like family members. lol
Make her pay for a new windshield. If that's what it takes to fix it, that's what she needs to do.

If she doesn't pay for the replacement windshield, file a police report; vandalism of private property. See how much of a joke she thinks it is then.

Well you reap what you sow. With that said My car (at the time was a SC2) and friends trucks were tped and oreoed. Didn't bother me to much tell it started raining and my wipers didn't work because of the gress form the oreos. Well one of the trucks that was gotten no body but his sisters knew he had, so we found out and a few monthes later got her back but used are heads. Well first ime she seen it was pics we had taken since we had to clean it. So she didn't care tell we made her belive that the pics got snet to us and that is what her car looked like when we all got home, even though it didn't.

She paid for everything that was done today ($8 for a basic wash, $30 to buff the windshield and hood), but says she doesn't have the means to pay for my windshield. Thing is, I'm not the only one whose vehicle she and her friend screwed up (I don't even know her friend, which is why I'm only mentioning one girl). There's at least two more vehicles that need a new windshield...and we're all friends with her. So that adds up to around $1000 for her 
I mean, I know she's in the wrong and does need to pay, but I don't want to make an enemy out of the situation by going as far as pressing charges.

It doesn't sound like she's that great of a friend to start with if when y'all go out of town, she thinks it'd be a great idea to vandalize your vehicles.

Just got quotes for all three of our vehicles...
$195 for my truck installed
$205 for the Isuzu Rodeo she got
$225 for my friend's Focus

Make sure if you have a Ford window in your truck you get a Ford window put back in it. The chinese windshields like XYG dont fit worth a damn, and can cause wind noise and water leaks on some trucks. Just keep that in mind
