I get it often I have even seen people mouth well driving down the road "know thats a truck." I too hear alt about having to pay for gas, I just tell them that they wont have to worry about geting gas when I get done running them over. On the other hand I have guys that I work with that make fun of it everyday.

First post, new member, and first time Ford owner. I have read almost every post for the last month and you guys basically sold me on the 01 f150 screw i bought today. Lots of miles but got it for 2700. I had it checked out by a true pro (brother in law) and he told me I couldnt pass that up. I already love it. Its not quite as nice as alot of these beauties you guys drive, but it runs like a raped ape. Thank you all. I am excited to be a ford owner.

Always get lots of compliments; people love Lightnings, even when they don't know what they are.

I too get a ton of compliments on mine....but then again the people I work live in a quasi-big city and really don't see jacked up trucks that often. The ladies love it!

Every now and then. There really surprised when I let them know that there's 165,000+ miles on it.

I get it to alot at gas stations. Heck, I was waiting in line to pick up my little sis from school the other day and had the windows down and a guy sitting in a car beside me looked up and said "thats a real nice truck you got there, very clean".
